"With his superior political acumen and policy expertise, Dawson would be the stronger voice for the district. While both candidates list public transportation improvements as critical to the district, Dawson is far more passionate about the need to expand Red Line capacity as a key to the success of the region’s innovation economy. On development, Dawson is more open-minded regarding policies that will attract new residents and businesses. He opposes, for example, a bill to ban all structures that add new shadows on Copley Square, the Esplanade, and other downtown green spaces. It’s a blunt measure that undermines the city’s planning authority and hampers transit-oriented growth. Livingstone supports the shadow ban.”

With only five days left until the May 28th primary election, we need your support now more than ever. If you’re interested in contributing to our campaign either via a donation or volunteering some of your time, please let us know!

On Monday morning we had a dozen members of the Dawson team out on the corner of Beacon St. and Charles St. greeting Beacon Hill residents as they commuted to work. We had a great turnout of participants, which provided us with a huge boost in these final days—you can see a photo of our team hitting the pavement in our homepage slideshow.

First off, all of us at the Dawson campaign want to wish a belated happy Mother’s Day to everyone! We hope you all had the chance to enjoy precious time with your families this weekend celebrating the mothers of the world. Next week, Josh’s parents will be traveling all the way from Ohio to help get out the vote and support Josh in the final push before the May 28th election!

In the last week, Josh had the opportunity to meet with the executives of Thrive Hive, a local marketing solutions startup located in Cambridge. As a huge supporter of improving our innovation economy, Josh was thrilled to meet some of the best and brightest who are helping to make the Greater Boston and Cambridge areas such great places to work and raise a family. Recently our team also had the great pleasure of meeting Beacon Hill resident and Dawson-supporter Kathy Kane, who held the district’s state representative seat in the 1960s.
